Yeah, but it's still more money than the best Future, of course not taking into account travel cost, but if you do have enough to travel, you should be playing challengers if you dominate Futures and your rank is high enough.

Aside from Milos, is it safe to say Peter is the second best claycourter we have? It seems like it.

Dancevic is probably slightly better.

Hard to say that since he just lost in the quarterfinals of a futures event on clay.

Absolutely brutal draw for Peter at the French qualies. Will have to get past Schoorel and then probably Zeballos just to get to the final qualy match

True, but that was more or less what we said last year at the Wimby qualies, and Peter got himself into a winning position against him only to lose. I fear Peter's mind may not be on our side.

Last year Peter had a pretty bad groin injury though at that point in the season. Not saying he will win, because I don't think he will, but looking at last year does nothing to predict this match for me.

He wins it in the 3rd - 6-2. I am very relieved. I thought he was heading for a repeat of last year when he lost the 2nd set after serving for the match.

Not strong mentally though. He broke Schoorel 5 times - twice he was broken back the next game, once he was broken back 2 games later, once he faced 3 BPs in the next game but saved them (crucial hold in 3rd set) and finally he broke to take the match, sensibly avoiding trying to serve for it.

I've never thought it's just mental with him, he has a similar game to Dancevic, I call them tweeners, they play better at the net than they do off the ground usually, there game is maybe slightly above average at the net and average off the ground, Frank is better mentally, no question, not the kind of game to do alot of damage.

Tom Tebbutt gives a brief report on Peter's match - not sure how much of it he actually watched.

Nice to see Laurendeau though doing his best to follow the match, despite the awkward view.
