Soon last year it was on thursday the year before the friday i thinks before saturday anyway. They are maybe waiting some results in Bordeaux there is many frenchies who can pretend for one there. Robert did very well lately on challenger. Maybe one for him. Only 6 and many guys asked for one.

Good list. Paire and Rufin will be interesting to watch, Millot could definitely win a match or two, and overall a good mix of old and new.

Rufin getting a WC right now is laughable.

Rufin already refused one last year because he was not feeling ready so OK he only plays futures and Q ofchallenger past weeks but he's a french hope so it's logical to give him one imo. The Texeira, Paire and Rufin WC are quite good choices for french young players. ERV did well on clay before his injury it's a WC for his results. The one for Arno is for the former DC player. The more unexpected is the one for Millot for me

How is that? His results this year are consistent returning from an injury, he plays well on clay, and the french federation gave him a WC at the US Open last year and he took out a top 100 player.

Rufin is a questionable decision, but I can see why they would give him one and I do think it was the correct decision. He's won 2 futures recently, and FFT considers him a very big talent. Also, his issues have been more injuries than poor performance, so that would definitely have been taken into consideration.

As for the final WC spot, should have been Robert over Millot.

Little bit late on this reply, but I disagree. Harrison did pretty good with the WC he got to the US Open last yr. He beat Ljubicic and then took Stakhovsky to 5 sets, not sure if he had a match point in that one or not.

Also, having ther WC allowed him to concentrate on the warm up tournaments, which he played and came thru qualies in Brisbane I think, didnt make the cutoff for qualies for Sydney, but would have in Auckland, which could have been more match play.

Smyczek, having the WC in hand, can now concentrate on the Challengers/Tour events the week before RG, knowing he doesnt have to spend that week playing qualies.

Ryan didn't get a WC at the USO last year

No Robert and Gicquel thats shame, only Clement from oldschool team.

WC's for Texx, Rufin, Millot if they won't have a good draw gonna be waste as hell.

Good choice, although i would have replaced Olivetti by Obry on clay
