Re: ''Too good Alessio, too good''
this thread is pure quality, just like the italian stallion himself
dont forget his encounter with riba some weeks ago, 1-6 0-1* down, then wins a 20 min return game, turns the whole match to go 4-1 up in the 3rd, blows it, but serves 2 aces in the 3rd set tiebreak and easily crushes riba 7-5 in the breaker

Re: ''Too good Alessio, too good''
Yet another MTF legend.
I heard that once, Alessio, Pics, King Oscar, The Gooch, Sexy Stepanek, JR Lisnard, and Legenda tore up the town one night. The night ended early, though. The town ran out of booze.

Re: ''Too good Alessio, too good''
[7] Alessio DI MAURO (ITA) vs [WC] Enrico FIORAVANTE (ITA)
Nikola CIRIC (SRB) vs Igor SIJSLING (NED)
[WC] Thomas MUSTER (AUT) vs Uladzimir IGNATIK (BLR)
Peter POLANSKY (CAN) vs [2] Filippo VOLANDRI (ITA)
with a bit of luck we can see those 2 legends facing in the quarters

Re: ''Too good Alessio, too good''
Alessio actually could make top 100 again, he only has a R2 in Belgrade and a F win to defend for a long time. Which would say a lot about how easy it is to make the top 100 these days.

Re: ''Too good Alessio, too good''
I have never seen Di Mauro play. Is he really the worst moonballer? Worse than Nadal?

Re: ''Too good Alessio, too good''
He's got a herky-jerky stiff motioned left-handed serve, and yes, his forehand is..............lets say he puts a lot of air under the ball. It's a lofty shot. He can hit his backhand pretty flat, and he can flatten the forehand too, but he mainly pushes and tries to force errors by rolling balls off the court and by not missing. He also has a pretty good drop shot. Largely mediocre, but he has his moments where he's acceptable.
