It,s getting to the put up or shut up time for Dan Cox. Last year he exploded into form on the futures circuit winning 12 matches in a row then 13 out of 14 , this being 2 separate runs. I hoped he would be good enough to step up to Challenger level. But so far he is looking very weak at this level. He just seems to get beaten down by players with any kind of Challenger pedigree . It won,t happen over night but it needs to happen sooner or later if he is going to step up. He has beaten some good players at future level but Challenger is a big big step up! Fingers crossed!

why???

it is a low prize-challenger in an area..where no one travels so easily..from europe for example

cut off is really well !

I am pretty sure it is guna be shut up time for Dan Cox . He,s sort of cheated his way up the Rankings. Sounds harsh but it,s true. He would be lucky to win 1 here

Give the boy a break. In his two challenger's he has played this year he has lost to the eventual champion each time. Also Cox has not 'cheated' his way up the rankings at all, he's got to where he has by winning 5 events, not many players have five tournament wins in their breakdown, which i believe you're showing disrespect to Cox. Granted he's not faced the highest of quality in those tournaments but that's more fool everyone else on not utilising the current ranking scheme.

I'm confident if Cox avoids a seed 1st round, he will get points here.

To be fair I am being a little harsh! I am just unsure of him! Cheating was really the wrong word to use! all I mean is of his points, all bar 7 are from futures. I find it quite Strange how a player gets that high just on the back of futures. Not to mention Dayne Kelly Hammered him 6-1 6-3 in a futures final this year. I belive Kelly to be that kind of level player you play in Challengers, and he blew Cox away. I am being unfairly harsh on him. Us Brits are impatient!! LOL

I still think I would have more Confidence in him if he could beat a few players higher ranked than him. He hasent done it this year! I am being a little harsh. We,rl See how he does here. I am glad he is playing less futures now though.
