Basically he is rejecting to play in all non-clay Grand Slams. He skipped Wimbledon and Us Open last year too. |

I think top 100 would be a good goal for him to chase. He has a nice game, but I feel his clay tennis could actually benefit if he played on hard-courts a bit more. Think he is playing a few indoor CHs this spring, so I guess it's still a learning process!

Unfortunately for Pablo, 2012 hasn't been as successful as he would have hoped, with a 3-8 record overall. His last tournament in Marrakech was his only successful tournament in the season, reaching the QF defeating Bedene and Duckworth before losing a tight match to Hanescu. A lot of his losses this season have been close but he's not been able to come through in the big moments to win these matches. But with his last event also being his best of the season, hopefully that is an indication his form is improving and things will get back to a positive direction for Pablo throughout the European clay season.
His next scheduled tournament was going to be Barletta this upcoming week, but he withdrew. Hopefully whenever he returns he comes back and can start putting together winning performances!

Pablo withdrew from the Mersin challenger this upcoming week. Does anyone know what's going on? Maybe this is the reason why he has struggled this season, he was dealing with injury..........

He's still on EL for Rome challenger, Estoril (and Tunis) and Barcelona 
Looking at the stats, his first serve % is way below his last years' average... Last year's Pozoblanco come in mind, he had back problems there...  |

Hopefully his back isn't the issue. Back issues can be extremely chronic and career-ending.
We'll see if he remains in the entry list for Rome next week.

He underwent espalda surgery on June 7. (google translates espalda as back ), is been successfully recovering since then and started with tennis trainings on August 9.  |
