I used to do 8 but I think I was wrong.

No. of seeds should = (maximum no. of possible players)*0.25

So in a 16 player draw there should be 4 seeds, 32 player draw 8 seeds, 64 player draw 16 seeds and 128 player draw 32 seeds.

I think it's supposed to be 8 but if you don't have a full qualifying draw maybe it changes.

But for example on Masters 1000 Miami Qualy Draw on real life have half players seed and another half without.

I think that the tournament have the chance to decide about the Number of Seeds. What do you think about this?

Good point, I forgot about the Masters draws

Honestly? I didn't check Murilo's thread about this

I guess it's up to you most of the time (I just don't think seeding NR is appropriate, the rest is fine)

Players without ranking cannot be seed i think.

On San Jose Qualy Challenger only Grilli was a player with ranking and with this only he get enter on Qualy Draw like Seed.

This is the official rule:-

Qualifying (always two seeds for each MD spot):
4 Q draw (2 MD spots) - 4 seeds
8 Q draw (2 MD spots) - 4 seeds
16 Q draw (2 MD spots) - 4 seeds
16 Q draw (4 MD spots) - 8 seeds
32 Q draw (4 MD spots) - 8 seeds
32 Q draw (8 MD spots) - 16 seeds
64 Q draw (16 MD spots) - 32 seeds
128 Q draw (16 MD spots - 32 seeds

I have always followed this, even if sometimes it meant seeding a NR player - it was their reward for committing early!

So, Luke, I think you were right before and wrong when you changed your mind!

It's not really a big deal in the qualifying of a challenger when half the players don't send anyway, but the rule is there.
