Re: Early commitments
Verdasco won't defend his final and Gasquet will probably defend his title ??

Do you remember about Verdasco from last year here? I think he won't play in this tournament never again. It was crazy circus.
Gasquet of course defend his title.

Re: Early commitments
Yes Tabasco played too much and arrived exhausted in RG...won't repeat the same mistake twice.
Great field, hope there won't have too many withdraws at the last moment due to injuries

Re: Early commitments
From what I read in another article Gasquet is not confirmed yet.
As you may remember, last year his long run in Nice probably cost him the match against Murray in RG, then he might want to rest more to try to have a good run in RG ... at last

Re: Early commitments
I think maybe Gasquet will not play Nice, he's already playing 4 tournaments on the clay, 5 including the French Open. If he doesn't do well in the Masters and Barcelona then maybe he will play this.

Gasquet is expected to play the exhibition "Guinot Mary Cohr" in Paris that week, then no Nice.
Verdasco the same by the way

Re: Early commitments
Really strange....but in Rueil exh, players who are scheduled to play 2 months ago are never the ones who really play...each year there are several changes at the last moment..

So its totally understandable Fernando wont play here ever again.
