Spadea) without dropping a set...In February, turned in his first of two ATP QF results in San Jose (l. to Stepanek)...Following month, qualified at AMS tournaments in Indian Wells and Miami, losing in 1st RD in both...Reached four straight finals from mid-April to May 25 - in Busan (ret. vs. Soeda), Lanzarote (l. to Bohli), won title at New Delhi (d. Luczak) title and reaching finals in Waikoloa (l. to Dancevic), Kyoto (l. to Mahut), Rimouski (l. to Pless) and Kawana (l. to Jeanpierre)...Also a SF in six other Challengers...Won his only ATP matches (2-7) at Queen's (d. Muller) and Tokyo (d. Delgado)...

2005 -- Compiled a 16-9 mark in Challenger play with a title in Fergana without dropping a set (d. Udomchoke) and reaching SF at Ho Chi Minh City and Vancouver...Qualified at Wimbledon and defeated Clement in five sets (l. to Tipsarevic)...

2004 -- Became first player from Chinese Taipei to break into Top 100, on strength of Challenger results. Compiled a 37-11 match record and won a personal-best three titles in seven finals. In June, made ATP debut at Queen's Club, reaching 3rd RD with wins over Arthurs and No. 4 Coria before falling to Stepanek. Two weeks later, made his Grand Slam debut at Wimbledon and reached 2nd RD by defeating J. Vacek before losing to Bjorkman. Made his AMS debut in Cincinnati and lost in 1st RD to Kuerten. Played in Athens Olympics and fell to Nieminen in opening round. Won Davis Cup match tie against Pakistan (d. Shafik). Ten of his final 14 tournaments of the year were ATP-level events. Won at least two matches in his first seven Challenger events of the year. After two straight QF to start season, won title at Joplin (d. Weinter). Reached back-to-back finals at Ho Chi Minh (l. to Parmar) and Kyoto (l. to Tabara). Won Tasmania Challenger (d. Lindstedt). One week later he reached final at Busan (l. to Peya). Also finalist at Mexico City Challenger (l. to Morrison). Late in the year, did not lose a set while winning the title in Caloundra (d. Terachi). 2003 -- Was 3-1 in Davis Cup play. Won first singles match against Kazakhstan (d. Doskarayev). Won one match against China (d. Sun) before retiring from reverse singles match (l. to Zhu). In September, won singles match in tie against Hong Kong (d. Wong). Reached SF of Challengers in Wrexham (l. to Pescosolido) and Champaign (l. to Vahaly). Was 22-20 in Challengers. Posted a 19-1 Futures record, winning China #1 (d. Zhu), Japan #6 (d. Iwami) and USA #30 (d. Joseph). Reached final at Japan Futures #7 (l. to Terachi). Won doubles title at Granby (w/Udomchoke) and Austin (w/Marshall) Challengers and at USA Futures #30 (w/Soares). Reached four Challenger SF in doubles. Doubles finalist at Japan Futures #7 (w/ Nielsen)...

2002 -- In third event of the year, won title at Israel Futures #1 (d. Welgreen). In April, won back-to-back Futures events in China, beating Cassaigne in the final of #1 and #2. Stretched the win streak to 12 matches at Uzbekistan Futures #3 and was leading 13th match against Dong-Hyun Kim 6-4 3-2 when he was forced to retire. After nearly a one month layoff, he returned to reach SFs at back-to-back Futures events in Japan. In his next outing reached SF at Granby Challenger (l. to Bogomolov). Won Japan Futures #7 (d. Terachi) in September. Reached SF of Hong Kong Futures #2 in October (l. to Iwami). Was 32-9 in Futures and 8-12 in Challengers. Opened year with doubles win in United Arab Emirates Futures #2 (w/Bopanna). Also won doubles title at Israel Futures #1 (w/Dahan). Reached doubles final at China Futures #2 (w/ Hui). Won doubles title in consecutive weeks at Japan Futures #4 (w/Hui) and #5 (w/ Kondo). Reached doubles final at Campos do Jordao Challenger (w/Udomchoke). Also doubles finalist at Japan Futures #6 (w/Matsui) and Hong Kong #2 (w/ Hui). Won doubles title at Yokohama Challenger (w/Udomchoke).

2001 -- Made Davis Cup debut against Pakistan. Won first singles (d. Qureshi) and last singles (d. Khan) to lead Taipei to the win. Also played doubles in the tie, but lost (w/Cheng). Also won a singles (d. Veerasingam) and doubles (w/Cheng) in Davis Cup win over Malaysia. Won Hong Kong Futures #1 (d. Handoyo). Finalist at Vietnam Futures #1 (l. to Qureshi). Was 17-10 in Futures events. Won doubles title at Thailand Futures #2 (w/ Moser). Reached finals at Thailand Futures #1 and Vietnam Futures No. 1 (w/ Moser). Reached three SF in Futures events.

2000 -- Played two Futures events, but went winless.
