Re: Journey on to Indian Wells & Miami, 2011
Still no answer to Dr Ivo's 1st serve, which bounced up very high both sides. He's guessing the serve and almost always guess wrong. Good thing is, Ivo is only got half of his first serve in, so there's some hope.

Oh dear. Broken, really bad service game, he's just so out of sort bcos Dr. Ivo is too good. I'm afraid he doesn't have much chance of getting back .

He's gonna be beaten in record time if he doesn't hold. Oh dear.
C'mon Gilles.

Re: Journey on to Indian Wells & Miami, 2011
He managed to get a bp but quickly got canceled by a good serve by the Dr. Now he's serving to stay in the match, down 2-5.
C'mon Gilles, hold serve.

3-5. Dr Ivo serves for it now. C'mon Gilles. Not in his racket though, Dr Ivo will have to serve some 2nd to help Gilles out.

Re: Journey on to Indian Wells & Miami, 2011
Damn, that's it. lost . Well, at least he made it past the hr mark. Sad, it was a good draw. But Dr. Ivo is too good today, he got served off court, literally.
Gilles . Better luck in Miami.

It's all Miami's fault
Of course Gilles could have done better on his own serve too . Ah well.

Re: Journey on to Indian Wells & Miami, 2011
Trying to ignore the match result but this made me lol
Gilles looks so much more comfortable than Richard.
Last photo made me giggle

(and yep I know they are already on the picture thread but they amused me way more than the match result!!)

Re: Journey on to Indian Wells & Miami, 2011
Aw Poussin. Looks like his neck injury thing has kinda killed the momentum he had going after the Aussie season, and Dr Ivo can be a real pain in the ass.
Onto Miami.

My thought exactly. Now is win one lose one, consistently inconsistent. Not good enough, Gilles . Well, it's okay, the season is still young , plenty of time to improve . But it would be nice if he goes deep to a big tournament for once, especially when the draw is wide open. Oooops, sorry Gilles, for being such a demanding fan . Just that because you are so much better than this. I should go back to concentrate on my hockey game and stop dwelling on this one .

Re: Journey on to Indian Wells & Miami, 2011
oh God what's wrong with his serve?
I remember last year before Metz that he said he was working to strength his upper body
during the recovery from the knee injury, and in Metz his serve was really good, so what went wrong now?!
anyway hope he will do better in the next tournaments.
is he going to play in that challenger tournament like last year? (I forgot the tournament's name)
