Re: Dubai 2011
very poor performance.
i am shocked not by the loss, it was rather expected, but the way he played was just so terrible.
maybe has to go back and play futures. i can't see anything else now.
the only possitive think is all the ultra hypers will finally step back off his shoulders and leave him on his own path.

 & Grisha
Terrible day. But I don't think he needs to backdown from ATP level. Keep playing with the big boys -- he still has to improve a lot but there's no other way but the hard way.

Re: Dubai 2011
He will play some Challengers now to boost his confidence - next week in Cherbourg and the week after - Sarajevo The winner in Cherbourg gets 90 points and if Grisho take it he will probably get in top 70
He will be most probably 1st seed in both!!! Good luck.

Re: Dubai 2011
OK, I think Grigor can win easily Challengers, you all can see he has no doubts in qualifiers, but these guys he have played were all in Top 30. Tursunov is in good shape, Tsonga, but now what was wrong against Gasquet I don't know. There are too many expectations when he gets such a matches against top players and he can't handle them. He burned out in all of them.

Re: Dubai 2011
Yes, he burned out and I am afraid it will last very long this time... I hope he proves me wrong but he is those kind of personality that losses may make him go down for longer periods...I wish we have a better source of info what really goes around him to tell us how does he feel right now.

Re: Dubai 2011
I think the Challanger tournament will good for him, maybe this ATP level is too hard for him long time. I think CH give him much strength and confidence, but he must win. Like mrclyde said in qualifier match he has nothing problem, he can win sure. Grisho's way is very long yet.

Re: Dubai 2011
The problem is not the loss, yes, he will have a hell more loses to come now on the ATP. But he even managed to broke Wawa, I think 2 times, yes he lost that match but play tennis. With Tsonga the same at least he was in the match. But what we sow today was totaly mental breakdown, not sure what happened at all...

Re: Dubai 2011
Yes, he plays bad because of something against good players e.g. Tsonga.

Re: Dubai 2011
thаt's not a big deal. i agree it was a total mental breakdown, but such things happen when you are young and green. just couldn't handle the pressure and that's all. i expect similar ups and downs in the next 2 years and more downs even. we should be patient.
