MTF won't let me upload the pics atm. I will try again when I have time later.
It was a lovely day. In typical Maine summer fashion we arrived at about 3:30pm after battling traffic that made us keep on the road for an extra 30 minutes.
They were just starting to serve the lobster, chicken, hard boiled eggs, corn and pasta salad as we got there. The hostess had opted to start earlier since there was a threat of a thunderstorm.
Just as we all finished eating, the storm hit and so we all ended up inside for the readings by actors/audio narrators. It was fabulous. The storm lasted about 15 minutes and you know how nature sometimes has this way of helping you out?
All the thunder sound effects were perfect for the 2 stories it coincided with. It was very surreal at the time.
We took a break to have blueberry pie made with Maine berries which are very small and very sweet
then back into the cottage to continue storytime. By then the sun was out and you'd have never known that we had just had a severe storm. Lovely
