Not yet, but Djokovic will UNDOUBTEDLY get there. He's the only player to win a slam twice during the Federer/Nadal era so it's just a matter of time.

Hewitt is still ahead of him, but he definitely eclipsed Fedal...

Not being close?
He has reached semifinals at all slams multiple times. The youngest player to do it also.

That isn't much of an excuse. The fact remains Hewitt was No1 for two years. Djokovic No2 for what, a few weeks. Clearly hasn't eclipsed Hewitt's achievements.

In those times when Hewitt was better than Federer- it has nothing to do with Hewitt - but with Roger- Roger just wasn´that man like he is today- or like he was later- Hewitt was the best guy in the world in era when old guys- were too old and declining, and new guys like Roger were just too young, not so good like they were in future- Hewitt was that type that is supreme in young age- he was in the same age like Federer much better, but he reached his peak and his prime too soon- than many injuries and so one- and Roger finally developed to that man that won 16 GS.. so about dominating Federer it is not important, because one of them was great too soon and another just need some time- but still peak Federer- peak Hewitt- 3:0 for Federer on clay, grass, hard, carpet.. so if Hewitt would be few years younger and start to play his best in 2004-06 he would have probably 0 slams...

Roger was there during Hewitt's no 1 tenure, and during 04-05 at his peak when Hewitt was still playing well.

No excuses. Hewitt dominated a 'transitional' tour perhaps, but it was a far more varied tour with surface specialists and challenges than today's.

No,,the fed points is irrelevant,,hewitt dominated pre-prime fed 7-1 & Novak is starting to beat post prime fed regularly @ slams.Hewitt was more of a fighter than novak overall, plus #1 for a period of time.Hewitt has his problems with prime fed & novak has his problems with prime nadull.
Hewitt gets the edge.
