I actually wish he didn't.. He must be exhausted by now. I feel so bad for him. He's been playing a lot of tennis these last few weeks, and I think he deserves some rest!
BTW.. hopefully he won't draw Verdasco again

Play tennis, I find that funny. I don't remember tennis being a one surface game. Sure he might struggle but I think he will be way more competitive on Clay then most clay courters are on hard. I have to agree with Sokk that I don't like him playing Acapulco but it will give him a bit of practice if he flames out in the first round. Who knows, he surprised us so far this year, maybe they will continue. I think what made him want to play Acapulco is that he got the SE, if he had lost today, I don't think he would have played the Qualies.

I don't see a problem in him playing it. If anything he'll gas out early in Apapulco. As amazing as he's doing right now, I can't see him getting to the semi-finals on a clay tournament. But even if he does win the tournament, he'll have minimal travelling, and then Mon-Thursday to rest. |

I can only suppose he is taking to heart Verdasco's comments and feels he has to try playing some proper tennis.

LOL, well.. I heard the Davis Cup tie is going to be played on clay, right? He probably just wants to play a bit on clay before the Davis Cup. I bet he knows he won't go far and that he might as well play, because at least he's getting SOME training on clay, and at the same time he can go home soon.. if that makes any sense

Too weeks in a row, I start to be afraid he has an injury  , if you tell me that after Acapulco he'll have a rest maybe I can understand, but then he has DC and the masters. Hope he defeats Mardy today and decide not to play Acapulco
