Is it just me or are the Americans adopting this guy as one of their own?

yeah, I'm watching, both holding pretty easily, Nando much easier than Milos however, hope he can take the TB if it gets there

Re: Milos Raonic
Is it just me or do I get a feeling that if Milos were to lose today, that it would be better to lose first round in Memphis? Not to imply that he lose on purpose but it would be a tough ask for him to keep playing all these weeks in a row. I don't see him missing those 2 masters event. Plus we could just say that he lost to a really good player.

Fine I'll say it then: Milos is playing so badly. He's totally going to lose

It definitely seems like that. I think it is a sign of how desperate they are to have a real top player again; Isner and Querrey have promise, but neither even looks to have a career as good as Roddick, let alone the historical greats of US tennis like Sampras and Agassi. They have Harrison, but he's not quite up to this level yet, though he could be soon enough. Milos seems, at least for now, like he has the game to be a top 10 type of player, and I think they see a Canadian probably as 'close enough', and find the story of him being a 'trailblazer', or whatever, compelling.
Sure, Milos has earned attention with his play and demeanor, but I doubt if he were representing Montenegro he'd have quite the US bandwagon he seems to be developing.

Re: Milos Raonic
Bad TB from Milos so far He desperately needs to get into Verdasco's second serve if he wants to have a chance.
