Re: Canadian Players 2
Sorry if I offended anyone by saying Vasek is a second tier Canadian Player, forgot he was in the draw.

Re: Canadian Players 2
Abanda into another G2 final, is she going to be the real deal, almost into the top 40 as a 14 year old.

I agree. I think he was just playing it because he wanted to get back into form with the ankle. And besides.. it was at home in Canada. I think it was a good decision to play in Saskatoon this week
BTW.. he complained about mosquitos. Is it really THAT bad? I know it's the praries and all, but yikes!

Re: Canadian Players 2
Zach White is actually winning in his qualifying match against Rettemaier in Vancouver. Shocking.

Re: Canadian Players 2
Vancouver Open's men main draw is out. Chvojka plays Duclos first round and Diez faces 3rd seed Zemjla from Slovakia. Strange that four main draw WC were awarded but none to Canadians (all went to Americans).

I think that happened last year too. Basically the tournament is owned by Americans, even if it happens to be located in Vancouver

Can't believe David Martin got one over a Canadian.

Daniel Chu is in the final round of qualifying in Vancouver. Wins over Dobson and Racz yesterday.

Re: Canadian Players 2
This week our boys are playing in the World Junior Tennis U14 Finals in the Czech Republic. We are seeded 8, in a group with Spain, India and Romania. Unfortunately Romania has the #1 and #2 U14 boys in the Tennis Europe rankings, so the chance of getting past them is slim (putting it as optimistically as possible).
We have David Volfson (who seems to have spent his whole summer playing tennis in Europe), Alejandro Tabilo and Harrison Scott.

Re: Canadian Players 2
I think it is great that he is playing in Europe (Volfson). I don't think he would get pushed very much in ONtario. I think right now out of him and Tabilo he has the inside track right now as the better of the two. Don't know much about Scott, in a sense that I haven't seen much results from him.

the livestream for this is fantastic. Better than all challenger streams and the majority of ATP ones. Definitely worth watching.
