Andy in RG semi final - who would have 'thunk' it? Finally, I can relax and savour his achievement. Andy always brings his best tennis against Nadal and they both produce incredible rallies and spectacular shots. Looking forward to Friday and may the winner take all the spoils on Sunday.

I see it's the first match on. Fair enough. I don't normally drink but tomorrow I will make an exception. I don't care who wins as long as it's a high quality match, I still have the feeling that if the right Andy Murray steps out on court then anything is possible. Like all his matches. Come on Andy!
I thought he played very well, with the exception of the biggest points - 3/18 on break points. On a lot of those Rafa upped his intensity and Andy sorta didn't. That's my disappointment with this match. But still, it's Rafa on clay, it's a pretty tight 3 sets, he never looked at any stage like getting completely rolled, he hung in there all the way along so he has to be pleased with his French Open.
Very similar, in fact almost identical scoreline to their match at Wimbledon last year, which was 4-6 6-7(6) 4-6.
Andy played very well in the first two sets, in my opinion he didn't play as well in the 3rd but did well to hang in there as Rafa upped his intensity. Andy had his fair share of chances, the break point conversion stat is the one that hurts - however Rafa played very very well on those points and that's what made the difference really.
Still a really good clay season, a SF at RG is more than I wished for. Now onto the grass where hopefully he'll do well.

Re: Andy's 2011 - Hope Springs Eternal
He had a good run and he fought to the end.
He had a blog on his site and he mostly talked about the match. Didn't say much about how his ankle was feeling. So we'll just have to wait and see in that area.
