Re: Andy's 2011 - Hope Springs Eternal
Ugh. Andy just turned his ankle and got treatment. He's still playing and I'm not sure if that is a good idea.

Re: Andy's 2011 - Hope Springs Eternal
This SUCKS.
I am really sick from this.
Dolgopolov just lost - the draw is an absolute dream and now he's done his fucking ankle
I think he will beat Berrer but the real question is how the ankle will be when all the tape comes off - whether he can actually take to the court on Monday.

I'm wondering the same thing. I just hope this injury isn't that bad and won't fuck up the rest of the season.

Re: Andy's 2011 - Hope Springs Eternal
A day to rest. Hopefully, that'll be enough for his ankle to heal a bit. I twisted my ankle once, but it only took a day or two to feel better. Hopefully, Andy's is the same. COME ON!!!! SUCH AN EASY DRAW. SEMI-FINAL AT RG IS LOOMING!!

Re: Andy's 2011 - Hope Springs Eternal
Here's today's entry from Andy's French Open column. He sounds cautious but optimistic.

Re: Andy's 2011 - Hope Springs Eternal
That's great to hear. It doesn't sound too serious, so Andy should be okay for the match. Hopefully, he is as aggressive towards Troicki as he was to Berrer.

Re: Andy's 2011 - Hope Springs Eternal
Being injured makes him play more aggressively usually, so I hope he comes out all guns blazing on Monday!

The irony in this statement is so rich I just have to laugh at it.

I haven't heard anything so I assume he's planning to give this a go.

Re: Andy's 2011 - Hope Springs Eternal
He was 3 breaks down, pulled 2 back, had a bp to pull the third back but ultimately lost the game and the set.
Movement was very sluggish early on but has improved markedly but he's not going all out on it at times, I think.
