Re: Andy's 2011 - Hope Springs Eternal
andy defeated prodon in 3 easy sets. he played well and i am optimistic about his tournament campaign. dolgopolov can cause some trouble in the 4th round, but our boy should win. then comes probably melzer and then nadal/soderling. why not a final for murray?

A final would be nice! If a bit far fetched! Just watching the rerun now.

Re: Andy's 2011 - Hope Springs Eternal
I wish you wouldn't make such stupid predictions where Andy's concerned. If he loses, I'm blasming you! Can you not stick to talking shite about Fed or some other player I'm not interested in?

Re: Andy's 2011 - Hope Springs Eternal
What's the problem? It's Bolelli, not Nadal or Federer. What's Bolelli going to do?
And don't blame it on me if he loses (massive if), blame it on Andy for managing to somehow lose

Murray on Chatrier while Nadal is stuck on Suzanne Lenglen

Re: Andy's 2011 - Hope Springs Eternal
And Murray was on Lenglen while Rafa was on Chatrier for R1. Federer was on Lenglen yesterday while Gael's match was on Chatrier. French Open always spreads the top seeds over the 2 main courts.

I never blame Andy for losing, I just want to see a good match and see him play up to his potential. Tennis matches are unpredictable, Andy might have a shite day and Bolelli might play the match of his life. Not that I think that'll happen but then it's not me that continuously looks like an arse for making predictions that almost never come true! Thank god you're too young to bet!

Re: Andy's 2011 - Hope Springs Eternal
So Andy "destroyed" Bolelli 7-6 6-4 7-5. He did well to grind through that one! Stupid jinxing threads on GM notwithstanding (and you know who you are!!!)

Oy. This was hell on my soul. Andy Rafa and Masha all had to have drama matches.
I swear the Lord was testing me today and I'm not all that religious!

Re: Andy's 2011 - Hope Springs Eternal
Pleasantly surprised at Andy's form on clay this year. After the chances he had against Nadal and Djokovic, he does believe he can exceed expectations. The draw's opened up nicely, but I hope he won't allow complacency to creep in. Good luck, I'm always behind him.

Re: Andy's 2011 - Hope Springs Eternal
Tough match - difficult conditions in Paris yesterday, with gusty wind.
I think Berrer should be relatively easy - Andy should be able to move the big man around and frustrate him.
Dolgopolov in R4 suggests trouble, though.
