he disappeared from the screen most of the time cos he was quite a bit behind the baseline, but for a first tour match of the year, it's a positive start.
still got a little bit tight towards the end, which meant he had to tough it out to win the match :S but being ruthless for the killer win has never really been gasquet's "thing"
and yes, the red shirt had some white trim at the collar, so it's probably different to last year's nice tournament one......still, not a bad colour :P
Good for Richie. Fans, take a breather till tomorrow.
“What a fate: to be condemned to work for a firm where the slightest negligence at once gave rise to the gravest suspicion! Were all the employees nothing but a bunch of scoundrels, was there not among them one single loyal devoted man who, had he wasted only an hour or so of the firm's time in the morning, was so tormented by conscience as to be driven out of his mind and actually incapable of leaving his bed?”

a Win AND a Red shirt (hated his white ones) - sorry I missed it but hopefully there will be a lot more of his matches to see.
It's not easy playing the first match in almost 2 months against a decent player who has a few matches under his belt - Good to see he must have come out pretty strong.
He played ok, but could be more aggressive. I saw few games here and there, and he still was hitting the ball fairly soft and passive on return of serve and on forehand side. Backhand looked good. Serve was solid, no breakpoints against.
