Re: Robin SoderKing's 2011
Soderling might record some upset along the way in Wimbledon 2011. He was defeated by Nadal in the quarters of the French Open. But, he lacks the passion and intensity that made him a household name last year. With his wins on the tour this season, Robin might be able to land a Grand Slam title. Hopefully, it will come from the All England Club.

Re: Robin SoderKing's 2011
Soderling said the following about the pictures when they got hold of him:
RS: I usually "ice" after practices. The body is feeling good. I had a good rest after Paris and I have been able to practice well.
Why do you use ice? Is it to dampen the pain?
RS: It is mostly precautionary. If i practice hard and change surfaces my feet takes a lot of punishment.
Are you in pain during practices?
RS: No, nothing.
I am happy I went here so early. Sunday-Wednesday, before the rain came, I practiced a lot. After that I was supposed to take it easier anyway.

Re: Robin SoderKing's 2011
I hope Robin really feels good. Although nobody will not recognized his pain before the big tournament if he is not going to withdraw.

Re: Robin SoderKing's 2011
Great win today! Hewitt coming up. He has a real nightmare draw facing all these players with good grass game but if he gets through Hewitt I think he will make QF.

Re: Robin SoderKing's 2011
WHAT A MATCH TODAY! I'm too pumped up to write anything serious but he showed the true heart of a warrior today. Coming back from 2 sets down vs Hewitt who is an amazing fighter and gives you few points for free.
Stunning performance. Hope a lot of people saw the match because Soderling showed that he isn't as one dimensional as ppl say. He changed his game and turned the match. Part of the credit goes to Rosengren but still. This is the stuff that he needs if he wants to go all the way in majors. To have a plan B

Re: Robin SoderKing's 2011
Great match today, now he'll have an easier match against Andreev/Tomic (at least I hope). I hope he gets Andreev because with this youngsters you never know (look, Dimitrov also forced Tsonga to a decider and Harrison leads 2-1 sets against Ferrer) so it would probably be easier against Andreev.
H2H is 3-3 against Andreev (2-2 if you take away the Future results), Robin beat him very comfortably at the DC tie this year. He lost to him at Wimby 2005 in 4 sets, but I don't think that would matter much as Robin is way better now and Andreev way worse.
Vs Tomic it would be the 1st meeting.

Re: Robin SoderKing's 2011
Robin has rested today so he will be fresh tomorrow. Also got the last match on court1 so he can sleep some extra if he likes. Tomic is finally an "easy" match. Tomic is tall and got talent but he doesn't have the power and experience I think. I want a 3 seter. Been too many scares this wimbledon
Potential draw to SF
R1: Petzschner
R2: Hewitt
R3: Tomic
R4: Malisse/Melzer
QF: Djokovic

i hope so...Tomic had a not bad performance in Australian Open before, but now this young guy goes into R3 in Wimbledon Championships. He has a good serve and a featured forehand,as robin has.The first-meeting will be tough and dangerous. He could not had enough experience, but, another way,he had no burden on shoulder.
good luck to Robin.
