As the manager the skilled person is more preferential. But I can be the manager in case of absence of other offers.

We have all once managed for the first time, so don't worry about managing experience and feel free to sign up for the tournament you wish.  But naturally I suggest you start out with the smaller ones, definitely not with AO for example.
