Re: Time for Hewitt to Retire.
really hope not, i'm still pulling for Lleyton. Once he retires, we lost the guy with the biggest heart on tour. Shame for tennis.

He did go the distance at Wimbledon with Stefanki. I hear what you're saying about the "running out of time" thing, but I think that Andy Roddick's next 3 years could easily be better than his last 3 years. I don't think that about Roger Federer.

Re: Time for Hewitt to Retire.
Hopefully he'll retire by Wimbledon 2013. I don't understand why he's still playing. What does he get out of being everybody's whipping boy?

Re: Time for Hewitt to Retire.
hewitt hoovered up weeks at number 1 and scavenged some grand slams and end of year of finals in a transitional period
once federer improved and serve and volley died, he was a non-factor
he is too stubborn for his own good and has the hips of a pensioner
i don't dislike him, but he needs to accept that his time at the top has been over for quite some time and that australian tennis has no successor to him

Why Federer is still playing tennis? Good question, too.
