hema, did you read this? yuki-chan
Quote:
HIT AND LEARN
Why is someone smiling after losing 6-4, 6-3 in the first round Wednesday?
Because he played with all the zest and desire -- if not the experience -- that 16 years of age will allow. Winning would have been nice, but learning almost was as important to Yuki Bhambri of India, who lost to Diego Junqueira, 29, of Argentina.
Bhambri, who won the 2008 Orange Bowl International junior tournament, said, ``I was not intimidated. He [Junqueira] was more of a counterpuncher and I had a chance. I'm happy to get this opportunity at this age. You learn a lot. You are playing the best players in the world and I enjoyed myself. I think I put up a good show.''
Bhambri, who has two sisters playing on the WTA tour, said of his match, ``I felt no pressure at all.''
Bhambri started taking tennis seriously when he was 6 in New Delhi. There were courts about five minutes from his house, so finding facilities was not a problem. Finding suitable hitting mates was. ''In India, there are not enough players to practice with,'' he said. ``It's improving, but we've never had a Top 10 player.''
These days, Bhambri has plenty of practice partners. He attends the Nick Bollettieri Academy in Bradenton, and every day is a combination of education and tennis. ''My parents always make sure I have all my books along,'' he said.
What's next for Bhambri?
''I'm going to stay here and hit with some players,'' he said.
``I still have a lot to learn.''

good attitude, kid

WG, not I had not read that. Thanks
Good attitude for sure. And losing his first ATP match 6-4,6-3 is not really that bad.

Wikipedia also gives that name for his coach.
That ITF page might be a bit out of date because it says his career ambition is to play Davis Cup for India. He turned down a spot on the DC team earlier this year. He put his dream on hold.

So, you ladies/ guys obviously do not give a shit whether Nadal plays doubles then.
I'm in a shitty mood...tempted to find a target to argue with but I'll try to resist.

You mean Marc Lopez carrying Rafa?
