Re: Zabaleta tv Show
I have to say the "Just A Gigolo theme" being sung in Spanish was very cool.
Chela seemed to be having a good time, and I can't wait for the next installment.

Re: Zabaleta tv Show
Well, he said that he was really bad when he was a kid, and that he still is
That he didn't start his year at his best, but was able to improve and could reach his goal which was to be among the top 20. Then he said he admires Federer's game and Hewitt's speed, and how he reaches every ball.
Then he said that if he hadn't been a tennis player, he would have been a vet, and showed some footage of him riding an elephant! LOL
He also said that he felt like the black sheep in RG, because the other argentinians reached the SF except him.
And I don't know what to tell you about Bs As, what do you want to know?

Re: Zabaleta tv Show
Thank you jazz your work is fantastic as usual and I saw Chela as a kid, and he doesn't look that much different now.
RF, Buenos Aires is a great city, good cafes, plenty of restaurants, ridiculously wide streets, crazy drivers, some very nice areas in the north. There are plenty of good looking women, love a good time and there is a good music scene and there is a definite Italian influence and the portenos know how to strut and do it in style.

I missed the Zabaleta show. What happened? Who were his guests today?
If I were here, I could get the Zabaleta show really well, since I have DSL connections.

Nothing much happened Sigma. Just what I said about Chela, they showed his messy room again, there was some footage from the Olympics and the Brazilian exhibition, and some other stuff. They showed David changing again, so that was good
I hope Mariano can interview him soon!

Re: Zabaleta tv Show
Yeah, I've seen the wide streets... why are they called Portenos? Does it have to do w Puerto?? Thanks, Marc. Yes, lots of Italian influence in ARG and in BRASIL also. No doubt the Argies and most Sudamericanos are very stylish and love to appeal big time to the opposite sex... it's in their blood!
Where in the world w one stay in BA?? I don't know anything about the neighbourhoods or even the population of the city... trying to compare certain superficial things about it to cities I've been to in Europe... just to get some idea.

Well, I lived in Buenos Aires my whole life, except for one year when I lived in Santa Fe, and being there I diiscovered how much I loved Buenos Aires!
It's difficult to explain, but it's everything: my neighbourhood, the smell of the city, the buildings, the people...
I know we don't have good fame and all, but just a minority is arrogant, the rest of the people is very nice. Everything is fast in Buenos Aires, you do a hundred things a day without even noticing, the time flys here.
Every neighborhood is different, it looks like a different city, you can't compare them.
You have "La Boca", where the Boca stadium is. There, the houses are quite unique, they're painted in different bright colors. It's a tradition now, but a long time ago the people that lived there had to go to the port to ask for the remaining painting from the boats, and that's how they painted their houses. For example, the colours of "Boca Jrs" team is blue and yellow because of Sweden's flag. The people could not decide which color they would use so they said they were gonna use the color of the flag of the next ship that would arrived, and that ship came from Sweden.
I'm sorry for the ramble here! LOL I got a little carried away, I'll send you a pm later Rogie to tell you more things to you and I don't bore the rest of the people!!!

Re: Zabaleta tv Show
Jazz - that description was wonderful - and the pictures too. Don't know about everyone else, but you could never bore me with your descriptions of your home city - you make it sound great and your love for it shines through your every word. I would love to hear more too. So if you get a chance (and you don't mind), perhaps you could copy me into Rogi's message - I will definitely visit Bs As one day

And that goes for me too. I would love to hear about your city, Jime, it sounds like a great place to live. Maybe we could have a thread entitled "Where Do You Live". OK, I'll be the first one to start that thread, if that's OK.

Re: Zabaleta tv Show
Zabaleta will interview Willy today on his show. I saw a little part of it, and Mariano had to introduce him a LOT of times cause he couldn't stop laughing.
It will be on today at 2:30, just two hours away

Re: Zabaleta tv Show
LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm watching Zabaleta's match and he was showing some footage from Brazil's exhibition and there was Guga, his comment was: How could it be that with so many good people dying, this animal(Gaudio) is alive! He was joking, of course. Then there was an older woman, I think it was Guga's mom, and Mariano said to her that Guga should cut his hair right away, and she answere: but it's not as bad as Gaudio's, he looks like a drag! LOL!
Then Mariano "modeling" and making jokes with Saretta. That guy is soooo funny!

He just laughed and Zabaleta couldn't stop laughing!
Then there was an interview with Cañas, and in a moments he stopped to pick up the phone, it was his gf and he wished her luck for her first match after months, she had been injured.
And at the end he played football-tennis with an ex football player, it was really funny.
But I loved Saretta and Guga!
