No, actually Hilacha means thread. That thread you get from clothes...and it gives you the idea that a person is untidy, but doesn't necessarily mean that he's untidy 
The link I gave you is for Mariano's show, but you won't get to see any of it till next sunday when it's on. Those other videos are from other shows, they haven't uploaded Mariano's programme footage yet... |

Yeah, in English, it does sound like the phrase "dirt poor"-clearly not the same meaning.

 coincident to have the same thought! "threadbare" or "thready" anyway. or maybe he was quite naughty when little age, always played outside, then rubbed his clothes on some coarse surface and wore them out to the threads..... |

Guess it's the middle of the night in Australia so GWH is probably fast asleep! Rass was on-line a while ago but, you're right, he's probably on his way back now. Don't know about FB.
