Re: Gianluigi Quinzi
He won 6-1 6-4. Plays Guillermo Rivera-Aranguiz in the final. Rivera upset top seed Jorge Aguilar in the semis.

Re: Gianluigi Quinzi
Lost 6-4 6-4. I think he's playing again in Chile next week.

Re: Gianluigi Quinzi
Draws top seed Jorge Aguilar (220) this week. Bad draw but regardless of the result, he's had an EXCELLENT fall and will end up comfortably ranked in the 500s next week. He definitely has a very bright future ahead of him.

Re: Gianluigi Quinzi
Bad draw, GL. Might not be the worst matchup, though, because as a lefty he can get the ball to Aguilar's much weaker BH

Re: Gianluigi Quinzi
So what do we think for his season next year?
January: I don't think he'll win the Aussie Open, but maybe a place in the finals.
February-March: Futures!!! Pick up some points, because he has no points to lose.
April: Hit up those 2 challengers in Italy
May: Defend his points at Trofeo Bonfiglio, maybe a wildcard for Rome Masters Qualifying
June: Win Roland Garros
July: Not sure how his Grass game will be
August: Challengers in Italy
September: Win Junior US Open
October: Hopefully he's at the Challenger level by then

Almost exactly what I'm expecting of him. He's the first junior in 4 or 5 years that seems capable of all that.

Re: Gianluigi Quinzi
Expect a lot of Futures and Challengers play this year! But, yes, playing the 4 junior GS is a lock.

Re: Gianluigi Quinzi
Looking forward to a WAR in QFs against Kokkinakis. on paper, the best and possibly evenly matched one out of the 4.

Re: Gianluigi Quinzi
So what's next on his schedule? Back to Futures?
