Makes me sick how the German crowds are always so friendly to the foreigners. They looked really happy when Sijsling broke back.  |

Don't forget that Aachen is very close to both the Belgian and Dutch border. When I was there, there were many fans cheering for the Belgian players, so it might have been some Dutch fans that were supporting Sijsling.

There were always Belgian supporters in Aachen yes, but I find it typical for German challengers that foreign players get a very friendly atmosphere against German players. Just compare a final like this to for example Gicquel vs Bohli in France couple of weeks ago, that's a huge difference. |
