I think Isner is one of the worst opponents Roger could have asked for to play his first match. They only played against each other once and this was 3 years ago. Meanwhile Isner is much stronger and compared to their last meeting which was in a Grand Slam this is a Masters tournament and playing best of 3 against Isner is even more dangerous.

Fed will beat Isner in straights. Roger always plays well against these guys, and is out to prove himself. Cant see him losing to Cilic either, seeing as though Marin hits hard and flat just the way Fed likes it. If Sod makes it this far, it will be a battle but i can see Fed winning in 3 just because he is mentaly tougher and he knows Sod inside out. He will prob be playing Novak next match, Novak is supposebly inform but hasnt impressed me all year. Depending on how Rogers playing this will be a 3 set win. Roger as i said before is out to prove himself after the NY disaster. Dont see Nadal making the final. He could be playing a host of guys from Murray to verdasco to fish. I expect him to win. but wouldnt be surpised with a loss either.

Overall im liking Feds chances this tourny, and have a strong feeling that he will be adding to masters tally.

I actually think big john is a good matchup for Fed. I would be more worried if he played a retriever like Simon, who makes Fed hit more balls than he would like to. Hes not playing anyone who is chasing WTF, so he should be fine.
