That's not necessarily the case. It's quite possible there's a component from your system colliding only with MTF for some reason. So you have two choices. First is wait for MTF technical staff to solve the issue from their side (which we know is not gonna happen anytime soon) or solve it from your side.
Unfortunately the nature of the error is very general, which makes it difficult to locate it precisely.
Anyway, my suggestions are:
Delete all cache and cookies
Reinstall Internet Explorer (or switch to Firefox)
Reinstall Flash Player
Reinstall the most recent Service Pack
Check for viruses (rather unlikely I would say)
one of those will probably do the trick
