Re: who cares about Asia with European indoor season coming up?!?
Hehe, yeah well its a shame he got knocked out first round, I expected better than that, Chardy beat him convincingly. Smashed him in the 2nd set.
Ahhhh well now we wait for him to get his form back again.

Re: who cares about Asia with European indoor season coming up?!?
Marco is not in Stockholm to defend his title, but in Moscow instead.
Stakhovsky, Sergiy (7) vs Russell, Michael
Dolgopolov, Alexandr vs Q
Starace, Potito vs Gabashvili, Teymuraz (WC)
Bye vs Baghdatis, Marcos (4)

Re: who cares about Asia with European indoor season coming up?!?
Better choice
With Federer and Soderling in Stockholm he wouldn't have a chance at defending those points
I expect him to do well here. He should reach QF at least. If he loses to Gabashvili or Starace it would be awful . The QF can be tricky, as he lost to Stakhovsky and Dolgopolov the last time he played each of them so hopefully he faces Russell or Q in the QF, otherwise he'll probably lose . I'd be satisfied with SF. Anything other than that would be beyond pathetic, especially since it's indoors

Re: who cares about Asia with European indoor season coming up?!?
if Stakhovsky is in good shape, it will be very hard to beat him for anybody in this draw
he shouldn't lose to anybody else in that section though, Dolgopolov is really overrated, even if he beat Marco last time

Re: who cares about Asia with European indoor season coming up?!?
too bad, maybe he wasnt fresh enough in the end after his long match yesterday, still a nice achievement and he could defend almost all his points from Stockholm last year
now good luck for Vienna

Re: who cares about Asia with European indoor season coming up?!?
The umpires were horrid today
I didn't see it, but Marcos got robbed, just in Toronto vs. Chardy where Marcos had an easy draw and got robbed and then just gave up in the end
He needs to learn to get over it and move on, otherwise he will never be in the top 10 again
This would've put him at #16, but instead he will be #19 tomorrow
Anyways, GL in Vienna!
He is the #4 seed and got a R1 bye and will play against F.Mayer or Phau in R2, hopefully Phau as Mayer is in great form
And he won't play until Wednesday or Thursday, so he will have some time to rest and re-group
