Ruben looks off to me. I don't think he's recovered from whatever physical issues caused him to take time off, he's just not 100% there right now. Charly has improved his game, but his grunt is definitely the most annoying shit. I wonder if any player told him to STFU.

I hope RRH wins too but I expect Berlocq to win in straights.

I think the spanish is the favourite to win in Paraguay, but stil, Rui has his chances...
I think Rui has chances to win this event, if he plays well, he definitely can win the SF match. I don't expect him to beat Riba or Ciric, though. At least he's healthy, a final here, good runs in Santiago/Sao Paolo, he could be top 100. It would be nice to see him in there, in fact the more veteran clay courters in the top 100 the better.

Agree with you, but I must confess that I don't know Ciric game, so I don't know how his chances against Rui in a possible final. But I prefere him, because Pere his very strong on clay, even though clay is Rui especiality too.

Ciric's game is based off his big serve, and pretty much he's a power player. If he beats Riba that would show me he's in really good form, making him dangerous in the final. In normal circumstances, Riba would win this event since he's the best player left in it, but anything can happen.

Agree with you, Pere the big favourite! Rui always strugle versus big servers so I really don't know what player I want to play Machado. But first of all, the SF. BTW probably Charly since RRH had already been breaked. Charly has been in very good shape in clay challengers in last 2 or 3 months, so he will be a very tuff player to beat.

Carlos is literally just smacking RRH off the court like a bug. RRH is making tons of errors because he's trying to create as he's constantly under pressure. He's also making tons of returning errors, he just doesn't have it tonight. Charly's hit some returns and he's hitting that first serve well. He's outclassing Ruben badly.

Although Berlocq is playing really well tonight and has been for the most part the last months, Rui is a different player than RRH, and he definitely can beat Charly. He has a good serve, so he should be able to hold better than RRH is doing tonight. He likes being offensive when he has the opportunities. He just needs to get a high percentage of first serves in and be aggressive, return effectively. He can't be passive and allow Berlocq to be the one dictating.

Rui probably would want to play Ciric but if Ciric is hot then it will be tough either way. Ciric is less consistent than Riba so that would give Machado better chances.

Like I say from the begining Rui has very good chances agains Berloq. I'm just saying that will not be easy, but it's like 50-50, to me.

And I don't know Ciric, but with your description of him, I guess that he depends of his serve. And when is serve is on fire, it's very very hard to stop him. But I guess looking at the ranking than his days of "on-fire serve" doesn't happen that many times

That was one of the best matches I've seen from Charly, from about the first set to 4-0 in the second. He just outhit RRH, hit big first serves, dictated all rallies. He's improved his game a whole hell of a lot since his comeback from injury.

Hopefully RRH plays better in future events, he was not impressive tonight.
