Re: Good Things Other Players have said about Juanqui
Oooooooooh [makes kissy noises], Lleyton and Juan Carlos...sitting in a tree!
It's nice to hear him say some nice things for once. I've heard Ferrero is just a really nice person all together, so good on him.

Re: Good Things Other Players have said about Juanqui
I know we have a lot of Hewitt, but here's another... I haven't seen it posted yet.
Hewitt prior to 2003 DC Final on Ferrero and the ill feelings between Spain and Australia after the 2000 final: "He's a good guy Ferrero. He was fine, he was just there to play tennis. I have no problems with him"
Albert Costa: "The first time I ever saw him play was against Carlos Moya in Barcelona in 99. Moya had just reached No. 1, but Ferrero was playing without any respect... It was just as if he was practicing. He wasn't nervous at all. At that point, I thought 'Phew, he's going to be good'"
Kafelnikov in 2001 when asked who he thought would be most likely to reach number one and stay there for a long time: "Difficult question, I think Ferrero"

Why not? Just because he's going through a temp blip of form it doesn't stop him being a good player or a good guy. Anyone who would change their opinon of him just because of how he is ranked IMO is very shallow and not worth the effort anyway

Re: Good Things Other Players have said about Juanqui
http://www.terra.es/deportes/articulo/html/dpo52231.htm
It asks: ¿Juan Carlos Ferrero has had a bad season, with too many injure. It believes that even so will force to play? Tommy Robredo: 'The one that doubt of Juan Carlos Ferrero does not understand a lot of tennis. Juan Carlos has played large parties of Cup Davis and only he will play if he is found in good form. If with the rhythm of training is al a hundred for a hundred, will be to play insurance, but are the captains the ones that decide always'.
Tommy replied this question before the final DC last year.

Re: Good Things Other Players have said about Juanqui
Here's what 19-year old Nicolas Almagro (sparring partner with the current Spanish DC team) had to say about being higher ranked than Ferrero...
"- Por cierto, tal y como hemos destacado, por delante de Juan Carlos Ferrero, que hasta hace bien poco parecía intocable e inalcanzable.
- Eso no quiere decir nada. Ferrero ha sido el número uno del mundo y aunque ahora esté atravesando una mala racha, no me cabe la menor duda de que volverá otra vez por sus fueros y que ocupará un lugar en el ránking acorde con su tenis."
From the article: «Llegar a jugar la Copa Davis es lo máximo a lo que aspiro»
http://servicios.laverdad.es/murcia...UR-DEP-187.html
Very loosely translated...
Q: ...but you're in front (in the rankings) of JCF, who until recently seemed untouchable and unbeatable
A: This doesn't mean anything. Ferrero has been number one in the world, and although right now he's going through a bad patch, I have no doubt that he will re-establish his position and occupy a place in the rankings in keeping with his (level of) tennis.
