Default Re: 2010 Davis Cup Final: France vs Serbia. Allez les Bleus!

I think Forget is a bit worried about the surface. If it's very slow it changes many things, Mika vs Djoko on slow courts that's not the same thing and in double Arno and Mika had their better results together on fast courts I mean on slow court Arno's serve is a problem. They have more automastism than Mika/Richard but the surface is not their best one. In single on a very slow court if we put away Mika from single to take Richard offers more single choices. I think we have to wait the reports on the speed of the surface and of the training of doubles. Richard was more concerned by doubles since Lyon let's see if Forget will take this option. Put Richard with Mika in double is almost the same risk than put Mika on friday remembers in Lyon how Mika was tired and injured in third set vs Zeballos/Schwank.

Quote:

two reports of the day by RMC and FFT website, you can also see some images of the training in that tvnews http://info.francetelevisions.fr/vid...S_PAYS_CATALAN it's at the beginning of the tvnews from 23th. No idea if it works abroad

Quote:

So they played basket-ball and Rugby and foot and a bit of tennis

Do you use chrome?

My chrome for some reason automatically translates french and it drives me crackers because I read things and don't realise they were originally french and then can't work out why they don't make sense.

Guy Forget blog (part IV)

(sourire)

The pics come from many sites, yesterday the training session was opened for all the medias so you have pics on Belga, on Daylife, diaporamas on leparisien.fr and Sport 24 like those

The facebook of FFT posted video http://www.facebook.com/FFTennis

Richard seems in a good mood and Forget looks after him and we can't forget the captain asked him to not play Caen and to play on right side in doubles http://www.rmc.fr/editorial/136205/l...est-il-arrive/ but I think he has more chance to play in doubles than the single friday.

I would prefer Arnaud in doubles and not just because I like him. With Mika he has lots more experience in doubles also against big names like Zimonjic. We shouldn't forget that the team of Llodra/Clement makes a bigger impression mentally. I don't think the Serbians will underestimate anyone in this final, so if I were Forget, I'd go for experience, also in playing a final.

Bad news about Gaël today :

RMC (french radio) annonces Gaël will not be to the pointpress of this afternoon as he have to do. The french number 1 will have to pass medical exams. "He's feeling under the weather" said forget.

What does that mean ? Is that during his rise in martinique ? maybe what we call since 2 month there, la dengue en martinique ???? a gastro ? very too bad ! any training, monday, thuesday and now today !!!! I'm anxious now

It's Gael it's normal he has always something wrong The travel in Martinique was not a great idea but typically Gael move He's surely sick if it's not injured it's OK, i'm not too worried we know the guy

For Richard on sunday why not if Forget works on his mental. I found Forget very precautionous with him there's surely a reason For doubles i enjoy more Arno/Mika but i know that in the mind of Forget there are a lot of doubts. That's like for single on friday he would like to put llodra but with the surface and the tiredness for doubles he's not sure.

I'm not agree with your first idea/ gael because 3 days and blood test it doesn't match with him. Sometimes he's sick on court as in a final against rafa and "vomit" and five hours after he was in a fastfood because too hunger and some german people who were there asked him "are you gael monfils, the player who was sick this afternoon ?" so I'm very anxious, 3 days !!!

+1 for your second idea!
