My stream is buffering all the time so I missed the reason, but Paulo's called for a trainer several games ago.

2-6 3-6. From what I've seen, Murray was too solid today while Paulo was making a lot UEs.

what happened? I could not see the match. After his reportedly great play in Metz, I expected more from Paolo in this match. So many DFs.

I also expected better. No shame in losing to Murray, but the scoreline suggests it was one sided.

I am back from Japan! Just watched the video of his match vs Murray. He did call a trainer in the 2nd set, and it seems his left wrist had some pain during the match, and he took some pill to stop the pain (from what i saw in TV), hope nothing was serious. I will go to watch his qualie match in Shanghai tomorrow.

It's very hard to say, Paulo didn't play his best tennis in the match vs Murray, but Chardy isn't at his best as well. I like Chardy, but Paulo needs to win this to get in the main draw!! The draw has so many weak chicks, i can't believe they two are put together in the 1st round of qualie

BTW, according to the practise schedule of today, Paulo was training with some coach today, although we don't know who this coach is. Maybe I will find out sth tomorrow.

The match with Chardy will be tough. Chardy is very talented, but tends to go for low percentage shots. Paulo needs to be patient and let Chardy beat himself. If PHM can get by Jeremy, the second round opponent will be much easier, most likely Go Soeda of Japan. Anyway, I expect PHM to have a competitive match with Chardy, unlike their match on clay earlier this year when PHM didn't seem to try too hard.
