He seems to be a really nice person and a great coach, very supportive of Kei!
During breaks between sets today, he was interviewed by Japanese TV about what he thought about the match. I wasn't sure whether it was a good idea for TV to interrupt him during an important match of his charge, but what he said was very insightful and sensible.

I would have liked to have seen those interviews with Glenn.
Glenn's such a good down to earth guy, he makes a great coach.
I spoke to Glenn, all he could say was, "WOW!!!"

I started playing tennis with Glenn when he was 8 years old, down here in SAfrica.
When he was 9 he was already beating me, thats how good he was at that age, and I could play.

Glenn and Kei will make a great team, Glenn's got the experience and knowledge he's learnt from nearly 18 years with Nick, and Kei's got that famous Japanese discipline, and of course the "gift".

Hope he recovers well before the next match.

I recently read that Glenn is only 34yr, quite a young coach. He's doing a fine job with Kei and the crew, and the reults are showing.

I looked through Glenn's profile on atp site. He played his last match in 2007.
When did he start workung with Kei?

Yes, that's about right.
Keep in mind Glenn's been living at Nick since he was 14, lol, he nearly married Nick's daughter...so he's been with Nick for 20 years.
Glenn also spent lots of time with Boris Becker when Boris was at Nick, they were great friends Glenn and Boris...and of course Glenn and Tommy Haas are best friends.

I reckon Glenn could still be playing doubles and doing very well, him and Tommy Haas were a great team, and Glenn and Rick De Voest had some great results together...but when Nick offered him the opportunity to coach Kei he decided to go for it...good move, IMO.

Glad to see Kei has so many fans around here.
