Ernest's News - What he's doing, where he'll be playing
This is the new thread to post and discuss any news regarding Ernests. It can be tennis-related things like which tournaments he'll be playing next or unrelated things like a new haircut
At the moment Ernests is playing in Indian Wells and he plans to go to Miami next. He'll have to qualify if he doesn't get a wild card.

Ernests has pulled out of Miami qualifying. I guess this means that he got a wild card for the main draw

I sure hope so
Also Nalbandian has apparently withdrawn so there is one more wc. Crossing fingers!

The only other option was Federer, IMO, but he seems not in a very good condition and he needs to rest....so I guess Ernests will receive the WC!! I hope so!!

Re: Ernest's News - What he's doing, where he'll be playing
That´s disappointing just because we´re now got used to see him every other day and now probably no show until Monte Carlo (don´t know if they show Davis Cup). But they apparently made the right choice of not playing AO, so hopefully this will be only for the better
SC also says he has plans to play Barselona, Munich, Madrid and Rome afterwards.

Don't know if he could be in MonteCarlo main draw who has only 55 entrances. He is 55 now but he loses Miami 10 pts though he could add some points with Davis Cup matches.
So we are once again on standby
The sportacentrs article that you could translate in your langage.

Re: Ernest's News - What he's doing, where he'll be playing
Monte Carlo entry deadline is 18. March so entry list will be from mondays raitings and entrywise it doesn´t matter if he falls or rises in the rest of the time up to tournament, his number in queue is 55. There are of course also some spots for WC and qualifiers so real amount of direct entry is 45 if I counted right.
We will just have to wait and see how many above Ernests apply and if there are some withdrawals afterwards, he could just be able to get into main draw.

Re: Ernest's News - What he's doing, where he'll be playing
It will be strange not to see him play "so long" because we are used to see him play almost everyday for the last 20 days
Skip AO was good decision, let's hope this one will be even better.

Re: Ernest's News - What he's doing, where he'll be playing
On a completely different note (while we wait for Ernests return to the courts ) may I just say how much I love this years white-and-grey-with-a-little-bit-of-yellow outfit. He looks so mature and ´clean´ and cool
I remember back in 2010 he had new outfit for RG, the orange one (which was horrible btw) but do anyone know if he will or is used to have a new one for claycourt season or was it just that one specially for RG?

I completely agree with you ! When I saw him live, I drowned my friend about how his shoulders look good, and in this outfit they look perfectly
I really hope he will stay in this outfit which suits him well.

Most kits change at the Slams I think. It's just the major players(Rafa, Fed, Sharapova, etc.) that tend to get more than one outfit per quarter. Ernests seems to be contracted to the Barricade line with the collars, while Tsonga gets the Barricade T-shirt and Murray gets his own kit(and obviously various other players wear the Barricade lines).

Re: Ernest's News - What he's doing, where he'll be playing
Ernests will surely play in Monte-Carlo main draw, he will be number 55 on Monday and as we know MC in non-mandatory some players won't sign up so cut will be somewhere around 60th place.
