There's a picture of Javi at tenispain. It says "I Bujdo F Montañes" but I'm sure you'll recognize Javi anyway

Oh no That sucks.. But how far did he reach? How many points did he get?

Sad that he lost, but he's at least getting a few points from the doubles final, so it's not all bad

Vamos Javi! Better luck next time. Keep going strong! You'll get there

Just saw the pic.. Very nice, Thanks for posting that link. Javi looks really good

Sucks that he lost after playing the first match so well today! But two matches in one day sucks anyway. I understand he was tired.

He reached QF, so he'll get 3 points, if I'm not mistaken.

I thought the same thing too, I don't wanna look for excuses or anything, but it's very possible he was tired.

Thanks. Didn't he get like 10 points for the doubles final? So he'll get 13 points combined? Not too bad I think

I'm the same way.. I don't wanna make excuses, but.. He won the first match with such a big margin! He was obviously there in the second match too, but somehow it just wasn't enough. I think he was tired, I know it's a bad excuse, but.. Obviously credit to the guy who won, he played well to beat Javi. I just think it would've been perhaps different if the second match today was tomorrow instead. Nothing to do about that now though..

Better luck in the next tourney Javi!

Yeah, but the points for doubles final will be counted for his doubles ranking (which is 358 atm), and will not affect his singles ranking.

He got unlucky this time, with no singles matches played yesterday due to rain, but he'll get another chance next week in Madrid, where he should be fourth seed according to entry list. But he better gets used to playing 4 sets in a day, 'cause he's gonna play best of 5 sets matches one day

Oh, my mistake.. Never mind. lol.. But at least this improves his doubles ranking. So that's good.

I expect him to do better in Madrid next week. And like you said, he should be able to play 4 sets in one day, as he may have to play 5 sets in a day in the future

he played horrible, he was 64 *21 down, and 64 46 *54 down but made it into 64 46 57 so a good final at least
he plays tomorrow in both singles and doubles =)

Thank you for posting the details about the match. The good thing is he still managed to win, but I hope he'll play better tomorrow and win more comfortably

Oh well, at least he won! I think it looks strong to me, to turn a match around like that! It just proves he is mentally strong

Do you have any pictures or videos from today? Or are you going to take some in the upcoming days? If you do, then please post them here. I would love to see some of Javi!
