In the local newpaper, he was happy of his match vs the polish.
Quote:

Currently just lost first set 2-6 vs ERV, i just saw the last three games and he plays badly with many UE and ERV is quite good.

26/76/36
On the match ERV deserve the win even if he choked in the second set where he had tons of BP and was **4-1 up in the tie-break. I don't know how Arno won that tie-break since i was not watching at that time Arno missed 3 BP in a row at 1-1 then he was looking less convinced and more tired and ERV win the match. Arno was not playing really well but not as poor as he could there was some things postives in his games but also some errors while ERV was playing nice with postive mind, fighting spirit.
Arno has been awful with the crowd along the match waiting a long times between the points and he left the court without signing for the kids . It's a fixed stream but he was looking not in a great mood arguing a lot with the movement and the noise in the crowd and not especially happy with his game. I don't know what he will do next week cos it's maybe a bit long until RG

Arnaud, it's Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
On the court, (especially today) not difficult to guess who he's...

he's playing better but still not good enough for a challenger event. guess that's more disheartening than losing in the aus open

roll on the french (open) now, i suppose!

Yes yesterday it was bad arno as often in France when he lost. It was the kids day yesterday and there were also many people in the crowd who was noisy and he was always discussing and surely not with nice words . It doesn't give image from himself to the homecrowd.

Well, if it was kids day, I don't find that strange at all. I see it in Rotterdam a lot, players trying to avoid the kids. Even Nestor yelling to the crowd a few years ago "Kid!!!! SIT DOWN!!!" In the next break the mother was so ashamed of her kid that she left as fast as she could. But I think you all know how I feel about kids day. Anyway, I do think it's a good thing Arnaud doesn't pretend to be different for his homecrowd.

Arnaud is "worse" when he plays at home, it can be paradoxal but he wants to do well so he's more frustrated when it doesn't work.
It's not an excuse for me. In so many tournaments his réputation is terrible. It's his fault.
The kids make noise on wednesday, they're boring but they support the players, especially the frenchies, it's a nice intention. And Arnaud says he likes the kids day... So why to be so mean ?? LOL

Marine are you reporter at France 3 Aquitaine because they made a report on Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde aka Arno Perlant even said that every year some people siad to him that Clement is a petit con but he stresses that Arno off court is nice and very kind even if on court he can be awful. Apprently he signed a bit to the kids after the loss to ERV but no smile. You can see the report here http://www.kewego.fr/video/iLyROoafvygO.html We can see some images of his matches.

i'm sure he has won on kids' day over the years, and when he's winning, the kids didn't seem to bother him all that much.

He plays Nice with a WC and faces Greul first round. Clay is surely the best surface of Greul and he did pretty good since the start of the year it will depend of the level of play the day of the match for both.

Well, chair empire Pascal Maria talks about arnaud 's attitude. lol
(merci leslie des mordus...)

Citation:
»

The nicest player: "I have to respect the ethic, it's difficult to talk about the players. But Mika is just "un amour" lol (= very nice guy). On th court he's nervous, not easy with him, but he's fair play and very "nature". Arnaud Clement is a bit rude with the ballkids but he loves them (). Just a way to unburden his frustration. Both are very charismatic players".

thanks marine and leslie. pascal maria is a top umpire... and he thinks unleashing frustration towards ballkids is charismatic? lol other umpires may not agree with him. or maybe this is a french thing?

anyway this lucky guy gets a wildcard at a 'home' tournament. i'm sure he's charming off court!

not hard for me to learn to say 'petit con'... who else can i say that to?
