Re: James Duckworth Cheering Thread
Not a good result for Duckworth. Could still be feeling the effects of his marathon effort at the AO.

MS semi-final: [4] James Duckworth (NSW) d Michael Venus (NZL) 6-3 6-3 Melbourne Park International
I really hope he beats Robert tomorrow; 27 points is a lot tastier than 15.

Re: James Duckworth Cheering Thread
I feel that this is a very disappointing series of events for James post Australian Open heroics. I was expecting him to build on his form and post some pleasing results..........runner up in a 15k is good but not really good enough at these stage. I know this might sound somewhat critical but I feel that this is an important year if he is to catch up to Marinko and Matt.

It might have been a Futures tournament but it was a near Challenger field and Stephane Robert is a class, former top 100 player. Plenty of upside to be had by him for the rest of the year... and a few bonus points too in a week where there was not much Challenger action.

Re: James Duckworth Cheering Thread
And the next weak result is coming for Duckworth.
Losing to Andrea Arnaboldi in Sydney (he was born there) is simply a sign that he is not good enough to be a Top 200 player regulary.
I give up on this boy. Thought he would have the same potential like Johnson and the other USboys but they're simply one class above Duckworth.

I am not a fuckin fan. I thought he has some talent and i was impressed last year in Australia but he simply isn't good enough to be Top 200-250 constantly.
He gets humiliated by Andrea Arnaboldi at his home tournament and on his best surface. Nothing to add here.
He was down in 5 of 6 service games (15-30 or 0-30) and broken twice.
Not good enough for Challenger, should play Futures in the next months and skip this level where he can not win a single match.

Pretty funny considering he just won that match 6-4 in the 3rd....
I'm concerned about his post-AO form but still a long way to go. Got to admit losing to James Ward twice is downright bizrre considering some of the form he showed during January.
