Re: James Duckworth Cheering Thread
Good win by Duckie. Plays a big server next. Should do well against Bossel, who sneaked over the line in qualies against Jones, despite Jones serving 16 aces. Duckies return of serve should see him win this match.

Re: James Duckworth Cheering Thread
[quote=The_Aussie17;12096310]Stupid me i tipped Ram to win this match in tennis tipping, but once again stupid me i forgot it was on grass not clay, Ducky is a pretty decent grass court player!
How come Duckie is a decent grass court player?
When does he play on the stuff? Not in NSW? Where would he play?

Re: James Duckworth Cheering Thread
I thought he had done quite well at Wimbledon in his years as a junior but, in his whole junior career he only ever played one grass court event and that was Wimbledon but it was when he was 18, he made the QF's and lost to eventual winner Fucsovics who Ben Mitchell also lossed to in the final, so i then looked through his whole mens career and this Nottingham challenger this week is only like his 4th, 5th or 6th on the grass over like 5 years of playing but it turns out his favourite surface is grass so maybe he played on it first as a real young junior?

Re: James Duckworth Cheering Thread
Young James is through to the QF's after a good come from behind win over Bossel, Ducky dominated the first winning it 6-2, before his opponent came steaming back in the second winning it 6-1, then James was down 3-5 in the final set and served it to 4-5 then broke to get it even at 5-5, then it got to the breaker, Duck lost the first point on serve then won 6 of the next 7 points, he won 6-2 1-6 7-6(3)!

Re: James Duckworth Cheering Thread
A clay courter for James.
But Aljaz has been in hot form lately, rising up through the rankings with som excellent Challenger tournaments.
Could go anyway this one.
Good luck James.

Re: James Duckworth Cheering Thread
Good win James. Has Marc Gicquel up next, an experienced player with some credentials, but still a winnable match for Aussie Duckie.

Re: James Duckworth Cheering Thread
That is a great win. Aljaz Bedene is a fantastic player and whilst many of his wins are on clay he has a great game. Good luck in round 2.

Re: James Duckworth Cheering Thread
A tight one in the second. Duckie could have taken it out. Pity he did not get up.
