not very important, in Davis Cup they should be team , and what attitude they have on the tour, I was not particularly interested. The attitude they have improved, but of course they are not friends.

Bernard is likely before the end of the year will be in the top 30, I think Lleyton is necessary to refuse to play for the national team, do what I did Federer his career, he needs to focus on their health and performance in the tournament. At least until the autumn I hope he will not play in Davis Cup.

The Champions race points tally starts from zero, either at the beginning of the year, or from after the Year End Top 8 tournament, and is used to determine who plays in that tournament (the best 8 performers of that calendar year).
The rankings is a rolling year-by-year tally of points which is used to determine tournamnt entry and seedings generally throughout the year.
I think that is what the difference is...
