I am sure there are more people watching this in Europe in the middle of the night than over there.

There really aren't too many ppl watching. How much is the ticket? $10? They probably charge more for parking at Key Biscayne.

Even more upsetting is that they are playing each other at a first round in a challenger event.

Re: Allez Gillou! - *testing my luck for IW & Miami*
Gilles won.
I do know it's a challenger, but since they both shouldn't have to play it, I consider it a real 1st round match.

No doubt. The match was overall poor, Gilles got better the longer it lasted, congrats to him. As for Richard: get out of Miami, this place is too much for you!

Re: Allez Gillou! - *testing my luck for IW & Miami*
I thought there were loads of encouraging signs, Gillou's net play was much improved and he'll get a bit of confidence from the win. Agreed Richie didn't play very well. We'll take it though!

Re: Allez Gillou! - *testing my luck for IW & Miami*
Not taking any credit away from Gilles but that was horrendous from Richard. I dont feel I have a gauge on Gilles level yet. I thought in the first set, anyone playing decently would have probably blown him away. Still hopefully it will up his confidence at least.

Re: Allez Gillou! - *testing my luck for IW & Miami*
I take that Richard wasn't playing too well, but I thought Gilles was pretty good. I mean, he's been hitting those ridiculous UEs that missed the line by a mile in the previous 2 matches (don't know about the IW match since I still haven't get the heart to see that Dabul match yet). He hit rather clean today and also did pretty well at the net.
Anyhow, I don't care, it's a win, that's what he most needed right now. At least he can maybe perhaps possibly relax a little bit and not be so tight for the next match.
