Not liking cheese is quite rare here too. You should see the looks I get at restaurants when I say "can I have that WITHOUT the cheese, please?"

Yup. My sister-in-law brought over apple and pumpkin pies, and they were perfectly spiced. I was quite proud. The smart money says I'll better my record in a few months.

I don't like cheesecake- which saddens me as a huge fan of the Golden Girls. But I love cheese-it is my favorite type of food. The one food that I wish had zero calories.
scoobs- between SVH and the Golden Girls- we have similar tastes. I met Rue at a booksigning and presentation last year and she was awesome.
DT- nope, never saw the movie.

WOW. 6 pieces of pie. If I could be assure that it wouldn't go IMMEDIATELY to my thighs, I might try that too. Alas, we women are not as fortunate with our metabolisms.
pumpkin pie is my very favorite, provided it is, as you say, spiced properly. It's just SO good.

They were legends. I love Bea Arthur, and as for Betty White - some of her filthy comedy is just superb....and as for Estelle Getty

I think when you consider the whole package - looks, personality, humour, taste in tennis players.....I was the clear and deserving winner, no?

Hey now, Sir Cheddar. You Brits aren't exactly known for your high-falutin' cheeses either.

I actually prefer pecan pie over all others, but we never seem to have any during Thanksgiving. I'll have a talk with my sister-in-laws. One of them will come through....

Re: 'Yes, we're probably talking about you' chat thread
Food talk I am not fond of sweet food in general although I likely sweetened chocolate cakes. I also dislike cheese and ask for it to be removed. I have so much trouble in US because most snacks are sweet here although its a paradise for the sweet-toothed
