0 UEs in a match?
Is it possible at the ATP level to have 0 UEs in a match? And especially, has it ever been done at a Grand Slam?

Re: 0 UEs in a match?
Generally u gotta be better than Federer to win a match at ATP level without conceding any UE.

Re: 0 UEs in a match?
It has been achieved for sure.
Not 100% sure, but I remember Giraldo being flawless vs. Robredo in Melbourne this year.
On the other hand, it's often unclear what is forced and what is unforced.

Sometimes the stats at the AO can be wrong. No offence to him but its hard to believe Giraldo was flawless

Yup, Girlaldo was officially flawless in his win against Robredo in the AO.

Why Giraldo isn't top 10 then?
I remember Gonzalez at AO 2007 against Haas (I think). One of the best performances from a player I have ever seen. Everything Gonzo touched turned to gold.
Barely made an UE and you know Gonzo isn't exactly a pusher.

The Colombian coca dealers don't let him. It's truly a sad story...

42 winners to 3 UEs I think it was. Amazing performance... that forehand just couldn't miss in that match.

Re: 0 UEs in a match?
Nadal's had some pretty low turnouts.. I think I've seen him hit 3 at Madrid last year..
Then six in that GS final against Federer
Apemant- That was an amazing performance. Gonzo was playing the tennis of his life that day.

Re: 0 UEs in a match?
very possible few yrs ago with 2 serve and volleyers, probably happened quite alot each season esp with both players coming in behind 2nd serves.
now no chance.

Re: 0 UEs in a match?
Well.. zero UE isn't exactly a synonym for playing world class tennis. It means you play very low risk, which is only possible when your opponent is so bad that it's enough most of the time to wait for the error instead of going for the winner. So it's more a proof for how bad Robredo was that day than for how brilliant Giraldo was.

Re: 0 UEs in a match?
McEnroe had 3 in the 1984 Wimbledon final.
