Santiago F - Bellucci d. Monaco 62 06 64
Well done Thomaz in spite of the comedy scoreline
When he's on, he's awesome, but he can go off the boil for no obvious reason and then it's just horrible.

Thomaz just is mentally stronger. He put the second set behind him and took the title away from Monaco. Congrats
The key for Thomaz is to build on this. It should be a huge year for him.

The interesting thing with Bellucci is that Win or lose the match is usually decided on his hand. And that is quite important for a player development looking forward, is a sign of much potential.
When Bellucci is playing at a consistent level on a match, he is very hard to stop on clay. Guys don`t know how to deal with that huge lefty ball together with the serve.

Wow, what a comeback. Bellucci wasn't at his best, but still found a way to win. Like he did in all the other matches this week. Impressive mental strength!
I believe he needs to move a little bit better/faster around the court. Other than that, Bellucci has few big weeknesses. Yeah, he misses easy shots at times. But come on, he doesn't play like Juan Monaco...

I think that's a good point - I thought Pico was definitely unable to deliver the same power as Bellucci so it was down to whether Bellucci was landing his shots or missing them, it didn't feel like Pico was dictating the play all that much.

I believe that Bellucci has the potential to win Roland Garros in the future.

Congratulations Thomaz !!!!! I'm really happy that Bellucci forgot the terrible second set and in the end win the tournament. Good luck next week!!
