Roger at slams is a completely different player... I woudn't be surprised if he reaches RG final again...

And they all lived happily ever after.
Long live King Federer!

while that may be true hopefully when RG comes... but i think roger hasn't been THIS BAD since 2004 (or even 2003) when he took over the world...? i wouldn't be surprised either if he doesn't reach even the semis of RG... it is already unprecedented in history of tennis that anyone can reach so many SF or F of GS so many times in a row... the record WILL FALL sooner or later...

He hasn't been this bad since the summer of 2002, And even then he was just an up and coming player with inconsistent results.

With his win over Becker, Federer is guaranteed to reach 286 weeks #1 as long as he doesn't lose to anyone other than Nadal at RG, regardless his further results in Madrid.

With this win today he has guarenteed that a French Open final will take him to 286 weeks. He needs to reach the semi finals for a French Open final to guarentee 287+ weeks at number one.

Or he could just win this thing this week and the record is sorted.

So what if he say reaches the SF or just the final of Madrid but doesn't win it...what would be the mininum he'd have to achieve at RG to guarantee this thing?
