Beck is going to beat Ferrer in the 1st round. I think Monfils will tank this tournament, but if he doesn't, he is the clear favorite. I think the winner of the potential match between Darcis and Marco could make the final. I also expect Lopez to do well here.

Must be a mistake of the author then, the draw hasn't been changed. The article is not exactly accurate, it was well known that Chardy was going to pull out, he makes it sound like a shocking last minute withdrawal (Chardy retired in the middle of his doubles match in Melbourne because of this wrist injury).
