All I can say is wow what an ordinary match for a 5 setter. Thought Davydenko had it in the third.
Davydenko made no were near as many double faults as Verdasco. Davydenko 5 and Verdasco 20.
Davydenko had more fuel in the tank in the end I think.
Having both won tournaments very recently, this was a worthy match to watch.

Wow! Worst match of the decade! My goodness. Davydenko couldn't hit a forehand. Verdasco couldn't serve.

just went to pieces in 3rd and 4th sets
got it back for 5th
a mug-fest of the highest degree 
Kolya no where near what he does normally even in sets 1 & 2.

Awful match. Koyla needs to play A LOT better if he wants any chance against Fed.

Nando made 20 DFs and 81 UEs and still managed to push his way to a 5-setter, that speaks volumes about Kolya
Mugathon of the highest degree, head to head with that horrible Monfils/Simon match of last year, though one of them had the decency to retire in 09

20 doublefaults. Normally that's only possible if you're borderline crippled and can't run (eg Dent at Wimbledon). Or on the WTA, of course.
