This. Varg is a complete psycho, but was also a musical visionary. Hvis Lyset Tar Oss is one of the greatest black metal albums ever recorded.
Similarly Jon Nodveidt of Dissection was completely fucked up, but that doesn't change the fact that Storm of the Light's Bane was awesome:
