Ouais c'est sûr mais ça y'en a partout, pas qu'en France, sous prétexte que t'es un génie tu es au-dessus des lois... Ca me dégoute aussi...

Moi ce qui me choque dans cette histoire, c'est que Polanski a un chalet à Gstaad, il y a passé plusieurs semaines cet été sans se cacher le moins du monde et personne est venu l'emmerder... Là, la Suisse tente de redorer son blason auprès des US et hop on le serre à l'aéroport... Certes c'est dans les accords américano-suisses mais c'est juste une coincidence plus que que ça se passe justement ces temps...

I don't think it's been handled particularly well either, given what these people have already been through it feels like cruelty piled on cruelty. I do recognize that immigration is an impossibly difficult problem to deal with and it can't really compare to the "straightforwardness" of the Polanski case.

JM, the Americans have been sending out international arrest warrants for years, it's the first time though that they knew in advance exactly when he was going to arrive to Switzerland. And to be honest I don't really care about those details, it's a long overdue arrest and I'm glad it happened.
